I had an unexpected need for 24/7 home health aids for my 85 year old mom (after she went through an emergency appendectomy) during this past Labor Day holiday weekend, and Hummingbird came through! Within hours of my first call to Victoria late Friday afternoon, she had someone at my mom's apartment in assisted living in Stuart, and Victoria worked tirelessly throughout the entire holiday weekend to line up someone for every shift (day and night) all the way til 8pm on Labor Day Monday. And I was able to communicate with each of the 5 caregivers throughout their shifts directly by text, which was SO valuable and comforting. With the help of these ladies, my mom was able to get back on her feet and resume her routine. I would use this company again and absolutely recommend them. Are you a hospice provider?

No. Hummingbird Care Services is not a hospice provider. We offer compassionate, non-medical support that works alongside your physicians, nurses, and hospice or palliative teams to keep your loved one comfortable at home.

Will this replace our medical or hospice team?

Never. Our care is designed to complement the medical care your loved one already receives, creating a seamless circle of support around the professionals already involved in their care.

Can you provide overnight care and respite for family?

Yes. For clients receiving hospice, we provide caregiver support beyond what hospice agencies typically offer — including extended companionship, personal care assistance, respite for family caregivers, and overnight care.

Do your caregivers administer medications or perform nursing?

No. We do not administer medications or perform skilled nursing services. Our caregivers focus on non-medical comfort — positioning, mobility, personal care, hydration reminders, meal preparation, environmental adjustments, companionship, and emotional support.

Is this covered by Medicare?

No. Medicare does not cover non-medical in-home care. Our services are private-pay, but flexible and tailored to your needs.

Do you provide skilled nursing or medical services?

No. We specialize in non-medical care such as personal assistance, memory support, and companionship. For skilled nursing, we can help connect you with the right resources.

How do I get started?
