How It All Began
Colby Bechtold, a registered nurse, saw first-hand the struggles families go through to find or give their loved ones the care they deserve. Colby decided we can do better, especially for those for those who did so much for us. In honor of his late grandparents, Michael & Margaret Durwin, he founded Hummingbird Care Services. The hummingbird, his grandmother’s favorite bird, is the company’s symbol and a tribute to the extraordinary care he was blessed to provide them, and now extends to you and your family.

Colby comes with a plethora of experience including working as a Registered Nurse and leader in a level one trauma hospital on the intensive care unit, in the ER within a trauma hospital, as well as over eleven years as a patient care technician, in and out of the hospital setting.
